Books Are My Bag: Bookshop Day in Edinburgh

Bookshop Day was created to celebrate the cultural importance of the British bookshop – the high street mainstays and local independents alike – paying tribute to the booksellers, curators, experts and community champions that tie readers and the world of books together.

Books Are My Bag play a central role in the yearly celebrations – so we teamed up with them to bring this year’s Bookshop Day to the streets of Edinburgh. Working on a number of creative street posters (filled with lovely 3D butterflies) alongside drum takeovers and vinyl displays, it showcased beautiful artwork created for the day by Dapo Adeola, also known as dapsdraws – throwing the spotlight onto the city’s bookshops in a wonderful way.
