Elif Shafak: In One Brief Moment All Eternity

What would your life’s story be if it was written by the people around you? Award-winning author Elif Shafak is back with a new novel answering this very question using the author behind the Madame Bovary, Gustave Flaubert, as its subject. Handing over the pen to the women who shaped him 175 years later, Shafak’s In One Brief Moment All Eternity paints an alternative portrait of France’s Gustave Flaubert and the world around him.

Kick-starting the launch festivities for In One Brief Moment All Eternity, is a recreation of Flaubert’s study in the heart of St Pancras station. Working closely with Penguin and St Pancras International, JACK ARTS and our Creative Studio designed and created this bespoke pop-up fit for Elif Shafak to do a book signing, for book lovers to explore a snippet of Flaubert’s world, and for passers-by to sit down and ponder ‘how magical are words’.
