Diffusion: Wales International Festival of Photography

Diffusion Festival marks the 2021 biennial Wales International Festival of Photography, formed of a month-long programme of exhibitions, interventions, performances, events, celebrations and screenings.

Taking on a new identity with each edition, this year’s event is set to look towards a post-pandemic future, shifting the spotlight onto new artistic voices. Platforming the diversity and richness of Wales’ geography, culture and society, the festival comes at a pivotal time – “of great uncertainty and new opportunity.”

We worked with Ffotogallery to bring Diffusion Festival to the streets of Cardiff, with a contemporary street poster showcase highlighting a number of artists’ works across the city. Our outdoor gallery covered the city centre, celebrating the art of photography in the heart of the Welsh capital with impactful takeovers – with Sunil Gupta even paying us a visit.
