Historic Royal Palaces: Superbloom
To commemorate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee, the Historic Royal Palaces are replicating a dazzling natural phenomenon in the moat of the Tower of London. With 20 million seeds planted, it’ll provide the visual spectacle of a superbloom – while being carefully considered to provide natural habitats for insects and wildlife right in the centre of the city – with the display intended to live, flourish, and regrow again beyond the summer.
To give London a sneak peek of the forthcoming spectacle, we teamed up with AKA. Taking over one of our east London sites with packets of wildflower seeds for passers-by to take away, each removal revealed the colourful creatives underneath, piece by piece. Hoping to instigate some city-wide wildflower blooms, it brought Superbloom right to the streets.
