Big Snake Little Snake: DBC Pierre

Big Snake Little Snake: An Inquiry Into Risk sees Australian author DBC Pierre interrogating chance and games of luck through a memoir inspired by a snake encounter in Trinidad. The encounter triggered the book’s “cascade of true stories” – looking at the allure of gambling, its nature, and the transfixion “obsessive practitioners” have, while also shedding light onto the odds, coincidences, and scientific and mathematical probabilities involved in daily life on Earth.

Taking inspiration from the wild ride of Big Snake Little Snake, we teamed up with Cheerio Publishing to create a buzz around its publication date. Designing, constructing and installing a 3D creative billboard based on the book’s beguiling cover illustration, it provided the perfect way to announce its arrival to the world both on the streets of London, and online. It even featured a QR code linking to a playlist by the author himself, perfectly pitched to accompany the book.
