Southbank Centre: Anish Kapoor

Anish Kapoor unveiled his first major UK survey at the Southbank Centre’s Haywood Gallery almost 30 years ago. This year, he returns with a new wonder-filled exhibition to mark the Southbank Centre’s 75th birthday. Famous for playing with scale and perception in public spaces, this immersive exhibition boasts of new and iconic works that will mystify, challenge, and inspire.

JACK ARTS teamed up with AKA to bring themes of his work to life on the street, including a striking creative build to our Quaker Street site. Using light and 3D elements to interact and warp reality, the 3D design replicates the imposing presence of Kapoor’s Mount Moriah at the Gate of Ghetto. Passersby were also confronted with previews of the vibrant Ha Makom, and the reflective nature of Tsunami, alongside compelling reviews of the exhibition. A complimentary, large-format poster campaign was then woven across the streets of London extending this sense of awe and intrigue further.
