Talbot Rice Gallery: Céline Condorelli
The University of Edinburgh’s Talbot Rice Gallery is dedicated to exploring how the university “can contribute to contemporary art production today and into the future.” To that end, its summer solo exhibition is the first survey of British-Italian artist Céline Condorelli’s work, as she deftly explores the transformative worlds of art, architecture, and design, with an eye on “raw materials, cultivation and extraction… processes of industrialisation and labour, through to methods of display, reception and transmission”.
To celebrate the exhibition’s opening, we worked with the University of Edinburgh on a striking street poster campaign covering both the Scottish capital and Glasgow – with Condorelli’s 2019 piece, ‘Zanzibar’ providing the vibrant, blotchy, and pigmented headline imagery to turn heads.
