Daughter of the Deep: Rick Riordan

From Rick Rioardan, the best-selling author of the Percy Jackson series, comes Daughter of the Deep, a brand-new nautical tale following freshman Ana Dakkar at the Harding-Pencroft Academy – a school for the best budding marine scientists, naval warriors, navigators, and subaquatic explorers in the world – as she goes on the journey of a lifetime.

Inspired by the book’s action and adventure, we worked with Penguin to bring the underwater epic to Hove’s The Book Nook in celebration of Bookshop Day. Crafting a 3D model of an octopus breaking out of the bookshop’s walls, we translated the mystical world of the deep sea into a show-stopping window display – with the end result receiving tens of thousands of likes across Rick’s Instagram and Twitter accounts.
