Books Are My Bag: Bookshop Day in Sheffield

Bookshop Day is an annual celebration that brings together publishers, authors, illustrators, poets, and, most importantly, booksellers to honour the hundreds of bookshops – big and small – across the UK and Ireland. This collaborative campaign aims to inspire people to support their local bookshops, recognising the vital role they play in our communities and on our high streets.

Following the tradition since its launch in 2016, we once again partnered with Books Are My Bag to bring their vibrant campaign to Sheffield this year. The city’s murals were designed and painted by children’s book illustrator Bethan Woollvin and designer and animator Emily Redfern. Books Are My Bag is committed to showcasing local talent and creating murals that truly reflect each artist’s unique style. Both artworks pay tribute to the vital role bookshops play on our high streets and in our communities.
