With The Fire On High Book Launch: Elizabeth Acevedo

The New York Times bestselling author of the National Book Award longlist title The Poet X, Elizabeth Acevedo, is back with a dazzling novel With the Fire on High, which tells the story of a young Afro-Boricua navigating teen motherhood in a society that deems teen pregnancy as bad. To celebrate its launch we teamed up with Hot Key Books to host a week-long pop-up at Brixton Market. Staying true to the novel’s culinary theme, alongside books, and talks we also dished up some lovely Carribean and Puerto Rican food. To drive even further reach it was supported by a vibrant poster campaign across London and two handpainted murals located in Peckam and Vauxhall.
