Jack Arts
Penguin Random House: 90th Anniversary
Penguin’s mission remains as powerful as ever: to create books for everyone because a book has the power to change anyone. We kickstart the iconic publishers’ 90th birthday celebrations with a special installation featuring some of the most iconic titles from the past nine decades. From the first ten paperbacks with their iconic triband design to the timeless bedtime stories, cookbooks, classics, and thrillers that continue to captivate us today, Penguin’s authors and books have always been there in the moment shaping culture and helping us navigate the world.
To mark this incredible milestone, Jack Arts brought a show-stopping installation to The V&A Dome, creating a larger-than-life tree in Penguin’s signature orange. The sustainably built installation displayed postcards, with 12 different designs, each illustrating key moments from Penguin’s storied history. A box placed nearby allowed visitors to take a postcard home, honouring Penguin’s legacy. The celebration doesn’t stop there as the instillation will be touring to the Southbank Centre and The Design Museum for two more of Penguin’s memorable events.
