Matthew Blake: Anna O.

Heralded as “utterly addictive” by Lucy Clarke, as well as “a propulsive and inventive read” by the Guardian, Matthew Blake’s bestselling thriller Anna O. follows the gripping tale of young writer Anna Ogilvy, who commits a double murder while sleepwalking, only to never awaken again.

Teaming up with HarperCollins on a two-stage campaign, we brought Anna O’s notorious case to the streets of London. Lighting up the night sky with a huge creative billboard to celebrate the release of the hardback edition, and later waking up commuters with our bespoke coffee stand near Kings Cross in time for the paperback release. As well as handing out faux newspapers detailing the complex case, baristas served up free branded coffees either marked with ‘Anna O is guilty’ or ‘Anna O is not guilty’ and complete with scannable QR codes inviting curious passers-by to get a taste of the first chapter.
