Durty Beanz: Destructive Distraction

Since forming in 2019, Glasgow-based Action Research Group Durty Beanz have produced projects that operate between contemporary art practice, gastronomy and digital anthropology.

JACK ARTS Scotland worked with the group at the end of 2024 to paste a bold, typographic artwork on a bespoke billboard on Govan Road in Glasgow. While on first glance a playful tongue-twister, the artwork – made in collaboration with artist Mark Titchner – is, on second glance, a scathing critique of modern politics and social media culture.
