The National Army Museum: Myth and Reality
The National Army Museum presents Myth and Reality: Military Art in the Age of Queen Victoria in its latest exhibition. An art activation that re-examines Victorian military art and its influence on the public perception of soldiers.
In collaboration with Anything is Possible, JACK ARTS brought the project to life, drawing inspiration from key works in the museum’s collection. JACK ARTS invited modern artists to reinterpret these historic pieces through contemporary lenses, alongside live reenactments in iconic locations. These included a modern sketch of Roll Call located near Victoria Station, a reimagining of Home Again in Trafalgar Square, and a powerful recreation of The Lady Butler portrait in The Duke of York Square. Brand ambassadors were also present, distributing flyers and encouraging passersby to witness the reimagined scenes in public spaces and then experience the full exhibition inside the museum.
