The Caseroom: 60 years of Letterpress etc.

The Glasgow School of Art is celebrating 60 years of its specialised printing and typesetting facility The Caseroom with a dedicated exhibition exploring the range of techniques and facilities, alongside its rich history of collaborations – including with musician Brian Eno, Scottish writer and artist Alasdair Gray, and artist Claire Barclay. This anniversary exhibition kicks off a year-long celebration, highlighting The Caseroom’s enduring influence on printmaking, typography, and experimental design.

GSA worked with JACK ARTS Scotland to bring their psychedelic and boldly typographic campaign to the streets of Glasgow, featuring 6 in a row takeovers and our high impact 48-sheet at the iconic Barrowlands, alongside a run of posters on our sites and art drums – to ensure the vibrant design made its mark throughout the city.
