Sheffield DocFest 2024

As the UK’s premier documentary film festival, Sheffield DocFest is dedicated to the belief that documentaries have the power to ignite curiosity, captivate audiences and encourage meaningful conversations. For this year’s edition Reflections on Realities, the festival programme focused on the contemporary challenges facing documentary filmmaking, such as increasing global polarisation and threats to press freedom, and featured over 100 films and TV series premieres, along with a cutting-edge selection of AI, gaming and VR documentaries. Highlights also included public talks with actors and filmmakers such as Idris Elba, Munya Chawawa, Michael Sheen, Chris van Tulleken and Simon Reeve. 

We teamed up with DocFest again this year to bring the energy of this major annual festival to the streets of Sheffield, transforming sites across the city with a trippy repeated poster design in bright pinks and purples, sure to catch the eyes of residents and visitors alike.
