CMAT: If My Wife New I’d Be Dead
Bringing together pop, country and synths on her premier full-length, If My Wife New I’d Be Dead, Irish singer-songwriter CMAT (Ciara Mary-Alice Thompson) is showing her pedigree right from the get-go. Noted as a “near-perfect debut” by The Skinny, it’s a sign of many great things still to come. To bring the album to life in London, we worked with AWAL on an in-store stunt at Rough Trade East, accompanied by a mega street poster campaign that took over our Clapton Tram Store trio.
Inspired by the retro, churchy imagery that flows throughout CMAT’s world, we co-ordinated a pop-up confession session for her fans to immerse themselves in. Encouraging them to reveal their deepest, darkest (and hopefully, funniest) secrets to CMAT herself, it provided the perfect accompaniment to the later live show. Alongside the stunt, a trio of street posters spread the CMAT gospel in Hackney – showcasing her brand-new album in all its dramatic, pastel-tinged glory.
