The Problem with My Normal Penis: Obioma Ugoala
Made you look… The Problem with My Normal Penis is Obioma Ugoala’s first publication, and a vital meditation on what it means to be a Black man in Britain today. Deconstructing unjust stereotypes around race, sexuality, and masculinity; their role in society; and how they translate to his own lived experience; the book sets out to show how it might be possible to change things for the better.
To bring The Problem with My Normal Penis to the streets of London, we worked with Simon & Schuster on a two-part campaign that would tease and reveal the title to the city. Beginning with a censored version, and revealing the full name in unmissable gold foil, it was the perfect way to make a statement on London’s street-sides in the north, south and east of the city.
