Butcher Billy

Celebrated Brazilian artist and graphic designer Butcher Billy creates comic-book influenced artwork bursting with nostalgic references to contemporary pop art, taking inspiration from pop-culture, music, cinema, literature, history and politics.

We joined forces with Avalanche Records to bring his work to sites across Glasgow, Manchester, London and Edinburgh, including a takeover in the city’s Waverley Mall – showcasing Billy’s latest series, which re-interprets song titles from Taylor Swift’s recent album, The Tortured Poets Department – transforming them into illustrations paying homage to a wide range of iconic characters, artworks and films, in his signature style.
