Bristol Photo Festival
Bristol Photo Festival is an international biennial of contemporary photography, shaped by the movements of the city. With a rich programme of talks, workshops and exhibitions, leading voices from across the creative community are brought together and celebrated alongside powerful interventions and collaborations with the local community.
JACK ARTS Bristol partnered with the festival for their second edition, to bring the launch moment to the streets of the city, and spotlight some of their talent; preparing the city with a takeover campaign that instilled a sense of arrival.
The striking poster artwork flowed across our large format billboards and citywide takeover spaces – a red ribbon traced the city, visually representing this year’s theme ‘the world, a wave’ the posters also previewed a snapshot of contemporary photographic works from a selection of the exhibiting artists, including Hashem Shakeri who is exhibiting at Bristol Museum & Art Gallery, Sarker Protick who’s work can be seen at St. Paul’s Crypt and Kirsty Mackay who’s work is displayed at Bricks St. Anne’s House. A powerful creative display to mark the opening week of the internationally acclaimed festival that takes over venues across the city this month.
