Walker Art Gallery: Turner, Always Contemporary

Although it’s been 250 years since J. M. W. Turner was born, his vast body of work is still impacting and inspiring creatives today. And it is for this very reason that the National Museums Liverpool is hosting Turner: Always Contemporary at Walker Art Gallery. On until 22 Feb 2026, this exhibition comprises NML’s collection of Turner’s oil paintings, works on paper and prints, and pieces by Claude Monet, Ethel Walker, Bridget Riley and many more to examine Turner’s timeless appeal.

JACK ARTS worked with National Museums Liverpool on a colourful poster campaign to share this news across Liverpool. The striking artwork not only highlights how Turner explored issues that remain relevant today but also infused art from a number of creatives into the heart of the city for all to admire.
