A gripping new adventure for the theatre, Stranger Things: The First Shadow uncovers the origins of Hawkins’ greatest evil, developed from an original story by the Duffer Brothers, Jack Thorne and Kate Trefry. Set in 1959, the play follows the stories of a young Jim Hopper and Joyce Maldonado as well as a mysterious new kid in town. Debuting at London’s Phoenix Theatre, the play has been hailed as ‘breathtaking’ by The Guardian, receiving numerous 5-star reviews and winning the WhatsOnStage Best New Play award in 2023. 

Collaborating with AKA, JACK ARTS brought the stage show to the skies of London, illuminating famous landmarks with a series of ambient projections, delighting passers-by and generating a buzz around a new prequel to the much-loved Netflix series.
