Shakira: Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran

The “She Wolf”, Shakira, is back. Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran (Women Don’t Cry Anymore) is the Colombian hitmaker’s first album in seven years, but the sound is very much in the moment – high-gloss Latin pop that delves in bachata, corrido and reggaeton. The three-time GRAMMY winner’s path to getting here has been arduous, following on from a highly publicised separation and financial case. “Making this body of work has been an alchemical process,” Shakira previously said in a statement on Instagram. “While writing each song, I was rebuilding myself. While singing them, my tears transformed into diamonds, and my vulnerability into strength.”

DIABOLICAL and Sony Music worked harmoniously to manifest the Latin-Queen’s concept of alchemy into the streets of London. The campaign featured two larger-than-life renditions of the album artwork – a hand-painted mural in Bethnal Green, and a creative build in New Cross Gate – where her diamond-tears shone out over the city.
