Record Store Day: 2026

Nothing beats the tangibility of vinyl. With sales continuing to rise year on year, it’s clear we’re not the only ones who think so. The ritual of dropping the needle on a spinning record and taking the time to really listen is worth celebrating – and Record Store Day does exactly that.

Taking place on Saturday 18 April 2026, the event first launched in 2007 and has grown into one of the biggest celebrations of new music and independent retail. Across the UK and Ireland, over 300 independent record stores take part, releasing exclusive vinyl pressings and hosting in-store performances, signings and events that bring fans, artists and labels together. This year, Olivia Dean joins as the official UK Ambassador, championing the culture and community at the heart of indie record shops.

Don’t miss the chance to be seen this Record Store Day and take the celebration onto the streets. From street posters and murals to creative billboards, ambient and experiential, we’re here to help you make some noise. Our map below highlights available London sites located on – or near – streets with participating record stores, putting your campaign right in the heart of the action.

For the 2022 instalment, as part of its bumper, post-pandemic celebrations, Record Store Day teamed up with Klarna to drum up some fan-orientated fun across London.

With a creative that kept it ultra-localised, Klarna x Record Store Day took over sites in music hot-spots Camden, Shoreditch, Hoxton, Peckham and beyond, paying heed to legendary independents in the vicinity. Celebrating those stalwarts of the music scene alongside up-and-coming bands and artists, the day saw vinyl records fixed and replenished onto sites for lucky passers-by to take away for free. Providing the perfect way to engage people and celebrate, it gave the day another life online – being shared across Klarna and Record Store Day’s social accounts.
