Notting Hill Carnival 2024
The streets came to life over the August Bank Holiday, as those celebrating Caribbean culture winded their way through West London at Notting Hill Carnival’s 55th incarnation. In a flurry of feathers, sequins, calypso and soundsystems, more than 2 million partygoers took to the streets for a high-octane party championing community and culture. The 2024 festival also commemorated 75 years since the first Windrush arrivals and, in a poignant tribute, sound systems fell silent for 72 seconds on both Sunday and Monday to remember the victims of Grenfell.
Between the floats, performers and dancers, BUILDHOLLYWOOD were onsite adding to the vibrancy of Carnival. JACK and StockX, the online resell marketplace, embraced the nuances and palette of the festival with a collage-esque creative, while JACK ARTS and AKA introduced deep shades of blue and violet, promoting Shifters on the West End. DIABOLICAL and Spotify took the seminal sounds of Carnival out of the streets and into a playlist for you to remember the weekend by.
