Andy Welland: Imagined Territories
In response to the growing presence of flags across Britain and the weight of division accompanying them, artist and graphic designer Andy Welland offers us Imagined Territories. A self-initiated public artwork funded by ArtCry, Imagined Territories reimagines the flag as a symbol of connection instead — a flag for everyone, and for no one.
JACK ARTS helped Andy take Imagined Territories to the streets of Sheffield and Barnsley through a multi-format poster campaign inviting the public to reflect on what pride, identity and belonging mean here and now.
