Tate: Tracey Emin

Dame Tracey Emin, a leading British contemporary artist, is back with a new revealing exhibition at Tate Modern this February called A Second Life. Known for her honest, intimate, and discerning approach to understanding of women’s lives, bodies, and health, A Second Life celebrates 40 years of Emin’s fearless explorations and confessional pieces, with a display of some of her critically acclaimed paintings and installations, alongside works never exhibited before.

JACK ARTS is proud to have collaborated with the Tate and Tracey Emin’s studio on taking the celebrations to the streets through a multi-media campaign across London. From posters with Emin’s striking neon artwork illustrating affecting calls-to-action to creative builds painting the city in neon lights, the JACK ARTS team consulted on the design of the out-of-home campaign, maximising the use of our poster sites and event spaces to announce the exhibition.

With a full takeover of our Hackney Furniture event space on Mare Street and Emin’s emotive artwork popping up on streets in the city, JACK ARTS designed a suite of experiences for passersby to get a taste of what to expect at A Second Life. Creating vectors from high-resolution photographs of Emin’s neon works, the light builds are exact replicas of her handwriting. And as Emin’s work frequently explores memories and personal histories, this was mirrored in the curation of poster sites which features areas in London that played key parts in Emin’s life. So, if you’re in London between 27 Feb 2026 – 31 Aug 2026, take a trip over to the Tate Modern and immerse yourself Emin’s life story so far.
