What Would the Aunties Say?: Anchal Seda

Penned by podcaster, YouTuber and all-round beauty guru Anchal Seda, What Would the Aunties Say? is the self-certified “brown girl’s guide to being yourself and living your best life” filled with wit and warmth. Inspired by her own life and podcast of the same name, Anchal has set out to openly explore the shared experiences of Indian, Pakistani and Bangladeshi women living and growing up in a world entirely different to the one their parents, uncles, aunties and grandparents know.

We worked with Simon & Schuster to bring What Would the Aunties Say? into the world, constructing a creative billboard that reimagined the beautiful cover illustration in 3D, with shiny gold foiling to add in some extra glamour. The head-turning billboard provided great content for social media: Anchal shared it to her Instagram, where it received over 17.5k likes and hundreds of comments, and to TikTok, where it racked up over 240k views.
