V&A’s Ocean Liners: Speed and Style exhibition

To celebrate the V&A’s exhibition, Ocean Liners: Speed and Style, we teamed up with AKA on a very special experiential campaign. The exhibition offered visitors an incredible journey through the unique design stories of the world’s greatest ocean liners, including the Titanic, Normandie, the Queen Mary and the Canberra. We wanted to give the public the chance to nab 25% off the price of standard tickets, but in a fun way that encouraged engagement from our potential visitors.

We left lifebuoys in key locations across London – from the naval strongpoint of Greenwich, all the way along the river to Camden Lock. We even left lifebuoys on 4 sheets around the capital as part of a high impact poster campaign. If the public were lucky enough to spot one out on the street, all they had to do was snap a picture and take it along to the V&A to claim a discount. The result: a fun, engaging and original way to advertise a seaworthy new exhibition.
