The Trading Game: Gary Stevenson
What happens when winning starts to feel like losing? Ex-Citibank financial trader Gary Stevenson made millions betting on economic inequality in the wake of global recession. His new memoir The Trading Game is ‘a confession’ of how he achieved his dreams of breaking away from his working class roots, only to find himself unravelling in the process. Praised by Rory Stewart as “an unforgettable story of greed, financial madness and moral decay” and dubbed “the Wolf of Wall Street with a moral compass” by Irvine Welsh, The Trading Game exposes a global financial system as a rigged game the house always wins.
Teaming up with Kinetic, JACK ARTS produced a minimal but powerful creative billboard and poster takeover to bring the book’s cover to life on the streets of London, with an eye-catching giant pack of cards spilling from the frame. At night, the billboard lit up to reveal a single illuminated window pane, with the silhouette of a lone figure looking out onto the city, evoking the themes of the book but also reflecting on modern-day traders who continue to roll the dice on the global economy.
