The Storyteller: Dave Grohl
A music career that begins with Nirvana and winds up with Foo Fighters, via Queens of the Stone Age, Nine Inch Nails, and multiple gigs with Paul McCartney, is bound to give you a story or two to tell. Dave Grohl’s now doing just that with his autobiographical The Storyteller: Tales of Life and Music – that sees the “beloved elder statesman of alternative rock” recount hundreds of his mind-blowing experiences first-hand.
For the Simon & Schuster publication, we worked with the team on a giant window wrap for Foyles in Charing Cross, as well as a supersized version of Dave’s book to take up residence inside. It was paid a visit by the musician himself, with the picture earning a whopping 118k likes after being posted to Foo Fighters’ Instagram account – the campaign was a hit on Simon & Schuster’s socials too. We also crafted an interactive, illuminated, audio-enabled billboard in the heart of Shoreditch for the occasion, shining Dave’s presence right onto the street as it played his voice reading snippets of the book to passers-by.
