The Face Magazine: Culture Shift

In a perfect pairing, the National Portrait Gallery’s landmark exhibition The Face Magazine: Culture Shift celebrates the influential legacy of The Face, the pioneering British style and youth culture magazine that shaped global creative trends from 1980 to 2004 and beyond. Known for launching the careers of iconic models, photographers, and stylists, the magazine revolutionised fashion photography and visual storytelling. Featuring over 200 photographs by more than 80 acclaimed photographers, including Sheila Rock, Corinne Day, and Sølve Sundsbø, the exhibition showcases many images for the first time outside the magazine.

JACK ARTS brought a selection of these iconic images to the streets in a poster campaign aimed at targeting cultural audiences in key locations street-side. The bold visuals tiled across the takeover sites showcased  faces from the exhibition walls, creating a gallery-style preview of the 5* exhibition in two phases – to mark its opening and support in final weeks awareness.
