Taking Up Space – The Black Girl’s Manifesto For Change: Chelsea Kwakye and Ore Ogunbiyi

Taking Up Space: The Black Girl’s Manifesto for Change is the brilliant and hugely important new book by Chelsea Kwakye and Ore Ogunbiyi – the first to be published on Stormzy’s #Merky Book imprint in partnership with Penguin. It explores the lack of diversity in education and tackles issues of access, unrepresentative curricula, discrimination in the classroom, the problems of activism and life before and after university, particularly as a black person. We were delighted to team up with #Merky Books and Penguin on a lovely illustrated poster campaign to not only promote the book but to encourage people to join the conversation.
