National Theatre: Ballet Shoes
Playful and eye-catching, our latest creative billboard campaign with Altair Media is a spectacle of colour and movement, marking the opening of Ballet Shoes at the National Theatre. Adapted for the stage for the first time from Noel Streatfeild’s best-selling 1936 novel, the story explores the lives of a trio of adopted sisters, Pauline, Petrova and Posy, who mysteriously dropped on Sylvia’s doorstep by an eccentric world-travelling ‘uncle’; the production charts the girls exceptional lives from their arrival until they fly the nest.
We brought the sisters centre-stage in a series of creative takeovers across London, including bold 48 sheet creative billboards that bring the characters to life as they swing upside-down from the frames in their tutus and get messy with paintbrushes, our Old Vic takeover site is transformed to continue the street-side narrative, with splats of playful colour that extend out of the frame into the surrounding environment. A fun campaign to bring National Theatre’s big family Christmas show to life this year.
