Marking the release of Trying Times, the seventh album from James Blake, DIABOLICAL delivered a nationwide campaign that matched the scale and ambition of his first self-produced and self-released project.
Working alongside Virgin Music, the rollout spanned cities including London, Brighton, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Dundee, Bristol, Birmingham, Cardiff, Liverpool, Sheffield and Manchester. A multi-format approach — from 4-sheets, to 48 sheets and large-scale takeovers — ensured consistent presence across the UK.
Reflecting the tone of the album itself, the campaign carried a sense of quiet intensity — blending themes of love, existential dread and subtle socio-political commentary into a visual identity that felt as layered and far-reaching as the music.
