Elliot Page: Pageboy

On writing his memoir, Pageboy, Elliot Page said, ‘The act of writing, reading, and sharing the multitude of our experiences is an important step in standing up to those who wish to silence and harm us.’ Coming at a time when defending trans rights is vital, Pageboy is a heart-rending and ‘beautifully written, winding journey of what it means to untangle ourselves from the expectations of others’, and an ‘ode to stepping into who we truly are with defiance, strength, and joy’.

To celebrate the publication, Elliot Page headed out on a UK tour with talks centred around Pageboy. Coinciding with Elliot’s trip, we worked with Penguin on a bespoke mural in Waterloo, a stone’s throw away from his appearance at the Southbank Centre. Working with the wonderful artist Fox Fisher, who understood Elliot’s words and experiences perfectly himself, the huge, 10-metre mural was loved both offline and online – appearing on Elliot Page’s Instagram.
