Carrie Soto is Back: Taylor Jenkins Reid
New York Times bestselling author Taylor Jenkins Reid is back with another grand slam of a novel in the form of Carrie Soto is Back, building on the success of her previous, hugely acclaimed publications, The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo, Daisy Jones & The Six, and Malibu Rising. This time, it’s a tale of tennis, and the book’s namesake character is seeking to make a triumphant return from retirement to reclaim her all-time records – from new, ‘brutal’, British player on the block, Nicki Chan.
To celebrate the forthcoming release of Carrie Soto is Back, we worked with Hutchinson Heinemann at Penguin on a duo of outdoor campaigns that brought the vibrance of Reid’s writing to the streets in London. First up, we executed a timely experiential sampling stunt around the 2022 Wimbledon Championships (served up with the tournament’s trademark lemonade in branded Carrie Soto bottles). This was followed up with a show-stopping takeover of one of our Commercial Street sites in Shoreditch, with a creative billboard that illuminated the street-side by its scoreboard-inspired lightbox. The campaign featured in The Bookseller and on the author’s Instagram.
