Walking artist Alisa Oleva and BUILDHOLLYWOOD warmly invite you to our final event to celebrate a year-long series of monthly art walks in East London.

Over the past 12 months we have brought people together to explore walking the city in a playful, critical, thoughtful and poetic way. These walks have offered alternative techniques to look and engage with the streets around us, covering themes such as following to mapping, angles to distances, listening and touching. Each walk has given participants the chance to take part in an act of collective close looking and reimagining – opening up spaces we don’t usually notice to make visible different ways of thinking about the city and being in it.

The Gathering is an opportunity for past participants and for those who are curious to come together to celebrate over walking, sharing food, map making and conversations. The BUILDHOLLYWOOD CarWash has been the starting and finishing point of each event and we are excited to host the final Gathering at this space once again.
