The Photographers’ Gallery: How to Win at Photography
From its central Soho location in London, The Photographers’ Gallery’s summer programme took a ‘meta’ look at the artform – questioning the ‘very meaning and function’ of photography in today’s world. Through its leading exhibition, How to Win at Photography, it explored the ‘relationships between photography, image-making and play’, encouraging audiences to take a light-hearted look at visual culture through work by over 30 international artists.
To bring the exhibition to London’s streets, we worked with Total Media to showcase it across the city through the season. The creatives featured John Yuyi’s and Claude Cahun’s works, encapsulating a century’s worth of shift in style, presentation, and practice of photography. Historic and futuristic in equal measures, the street poster campaign was the perfect way to platform one of London’s best culture offerings.
