Role Description:
We are looking for freelance vinyl applicators and set installers to support our Creative Studio team. You’ll be involved in apply vinyl in a multitude of locations, creative building installations and special builds on site.
What You’ll be Doing:
We have a huge amount of outdoor poster frames and sites across London and the UK, that are used by our Creative Studio team to create spill boards, which see elements of the artwork extending up and beyond the confines of the frame. We’ve been known to add large 3D props to sites, lights, sound, vinyl’s and smoke machines. We also help clients bring experiential ideas and campaigns to life, providing set, actors, and locations.
The role requires a willingness to work with new materials and mediums, to take an experimental approach to find creative solutions. Requiring an ability to work with a large range of materials and in multiple mediums and can independently source sustainable solutions to build projects.
About You:
You will have confidence in your carpentry skills, possess a UK drivers’ licence, be comfortable working at ladder height, and at your happiest when being challenged to create something new and exciting.
You will have practical experience of applying a variety of vinyl’s on location, and to a large scale.
You will need to be able to read technical drawings and mock-ups to convert into construction.
You will be hard working, conscientious, reliable, methodical, have a great attention to detail and be willing to get stuck in, making sure sets are built safely to specific deadline and instruction. The role requires early starts, and to sometimes arrive promptly to location with regular communicating back to the team. This role is on an ad hoc basis and would be project dependent.
