Warehouse Manager

Employment Type: Permanent
Location: London – NW10
Start Date: ASAP 

Role Description:  

You’ll be responsible for implementing the company’s operational policies and procedures and oversee the day-to-day running of our London warehouse. You’ll work closely with our Head of Warehouse Operations to ensure that the warehouse is health and safety compliant at all times.

What You’ll be Doing:  

  • Overseeing daily warehouse operations, including assigning tasks and monitoring the team’s performance. 
  • Provide strong leadership and clear direction to the warehouse team, fostering a positive and productive work environment. 
  • Ensure consistent and reliable daily warehouse operations, maintaining smooth workflow throughout business hours. 
  • Implement and enforce robust security protocols to always safeguard warehouse assets and personnel. 
  • Coordinate and manage the timely organisation and dispatch of reposts, ensuring accurate logging and tracking of all movements. 
  • Maintain accuracy of daily Excel stock spreadsheets, always ensuring up-to-date and reliable inventory records. 
  • Proactively coordinate with the distribution and print teams on a weekly basis to track and secure incoming artwork, ensuring timely availability for warehouse operations. 
  • Conduct and document weekly fire safety checks and ensure completion of thorough daily end-of-day security and operational checks. 
  • Maintain daily warehouse cleaning standards, ensuring all waste solutions are processed and disposed of in accordance with established procedures and regulations. 
  • Collaborate regularly with the Head of Warehouse Operations to analyse performance metrics and develop actionable plans for enhancing productivity and operational efficiency.
  • In the absence of the Head of Warehouse Operations, assume responsibility for the timely distribution of all London and regional posting lists to relevant teams ensuring uninterrupted workflow and communication. 

About You: 

  • Proven experience in a warehouse supervisory/warehouse manager role, demonstrating a strong track record of success in previous roles. 
  • Be able to roll your sleeves up and get your hands dirty, from making jerrycans of paste to wet rolling and collating posters. 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word and Excel skills for inventory management and reporting. 
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities, with a proven track record of leading by example and motivating teams to achieve operational excellence. 
  • Highly motivated and proactive, with the ability to quickly acclimate to a fast-paced environment and contribute immediately. 
  • Possesses a strong work ethic and unwavering enthusiasm for driving efficiency.  
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative spirit, capable of building positive relationships within a small, close-knit team. 
  • Confident and assertive, with the ability to take initiative and thrive in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and effectively communicate with team members at all levels. 
  • A strong understanding of and alignment with the company’s core values, contributing to a positive and cohesive work environment. 

The following qualifications are desirable, but not essential. We will provide training to the right candidate.  

  • Forklift license 
  • First aid training 
  • Fire marshal training

  • Salary of £35,000-£38,000 (dependent on experience) plus bonus scheme to share in company success
