Fruitmarket: Ibrahim Mahama

Edinburgh-based art gallery Fruitmarket celebrates 50 years of presenting internationally renowned contemporary art this year with an engaging programme of exhibitions and events. Their latest exhibition for their anniversary year is from Ghanaian artist Ibrahim Mahama, who explores the materials and histories that encapsulate the moment at which Ghana gained its freedom from British colonial rule in 1957.

We worked with Fruitmarket to take Mahama’s striking exhibition poster onto the streets of Edinburgh – from showcasing the work at busy commuter routes on our Haymarket and Princes St drums, to posting them at our sites in areas across the city.
