Migrant Voice: International Migrants Day 2024

Migrant Voice is a migrant-led national organisation nurturing a community built on skill-sharing, confidence building, learning and justice for all. They provide a vital educational platform and fight for migrants’ voices to be heard loud and clear; aiming to break down barriers, develop key skillsets and push for systematic change.

Since 2022 their Scotland-based members have been contributing short stories, memories, poems, photographs, and illustrations to open-calls on themes exploring their personal experiences, challenges and traditions – resulting in an inspiring archive of monthly zines.

For International Migrants Day 2024, JACK ARTS Scotland has partnered with Migrant Voice to share some of these stories, poems and artworks at takeover sites on Duke Street in Glasgow, and Wishaw Terrace in Edinburgh. The powerful narratives shared on street-level sites help amplify their message and bring visibility to their vital work.
