Creative Production Installer – BUILDHOLLYWOOD

Our Creative Production team works on some of the most exciting installations with some of the most desirable brands around. Using our portfolio of outdoor billboard and poster sites, we create one-off, bespoke installations for our music, fashion, and arts clients, helping them to generate PR buzz, create content, and start conversations around their creative messages.

This new role of Creative Production Installer has been created to help us take on additional, and bigger projects, enabling us to be more ambitious at the same time. You will be joining our permanent Creative Production team of 5. At BUILDHOLLYWOOD, the team and company beyond are all part of generating ideas, coming up with solutions, and creating some of the most talked about campaigns that happen on our streets.

In this role, no two days will be the same – one day you might be standing on Old Street making a huge display entirely out of fresh flowers, the next you could be attaching an outdoor neon display to one of our sites in Hackney, and the next, you might be in the warehouse painting an oversized lemonade bottle that’s about to be dropped into the middle of Shoreditch.

The role will include being fully involved in the day-to-day building and installing that our Creative Production team are responsible for. You will be building and adapting objects in our NW10 warehouse, and you will be installing and derigging our creations out on the streets of London.

We are looking for someone who has a very good carpentry skills, is competent with all hand tools, is familiar with a range of materials, is creative, able to work at height, and able to work at pace – as we often have demanding deadlines. We’d like you to be highly organised, a team player, comfortable with driving round London’s busy streets, and enthusiastic about creative outdoor marketing and being a part of the team.

This is a full-time role, working Mon-Fri with occasional additional hours and weekend work.

The role will be based in our NW10 warehouse, with 50-70% of the time spent on-site across London’s streets.

Responsibilities:

  • Respond to briefs and instruction from the Creative Production Lead
  • Build and adapt items for installation on our billboards and posters
  • Be part of the team to create 3D props for installing on the street or at events
  • Install large-scale items onto outdoor spaces, ensuring all safety guidelines are followed
  • Work to deadlines and manage priorities
  • Communicate the progress of all projects to the wider team, providing regular updates
  • Be open and adaptable to learning new skills
  • Be able to run projects safely and to deadlines
  • Keep the project management system update with your tasks (training will be provided)

Skills and experience:

  • Experience in a similar role (for example, set building in events, film or exhibitions is a real plus)
  • A good grounding in carpentry
  • Competent with all common tools
  • Experienced driver
  • Ladder experience (though training will be provided)
  • Practical approach
  • Creative mindset
  • Ability to work to set deadlines
  • Organised
  • Can lead own work
